Chicago | Business and Pleasure
Posted on April 11th, 2012 by Craig & Lindsey
Lindsey and I recently had the pleasure of going to Chicago for business, and after the business was done, we had time for a few days of fun in the city!
Chicago was amazing…the weather was perfect, tulips were blooming all over the city, and the restaurants were fabulous (you have got to try The Girl and The Goat if you’re ever in the area).
On foot, by bus, and by mob bus. Lindsey indulged my morbid curiosity and we spent one afternoon riding around on a cheesy but fun tour of all the old hideouts and shootouts for people like Al Capone.
But one of our favorite experiences throughout the city were the views. The architecture is so beautiful and to have the chance to head up 97 floors in the John Hancock Building to watch the sunset is an opportunity we had to take advantage of. We wanted to share a few of our favorite shots of the city with you guys. Keep in mind that these photos were taken with our very special, super high tech camera…the iPhone.

View from the Navy Pier.
97 floors up
It was crystal clear, and then the clouds started rolling in.
I think the clouds made this sunset even more fantastic.

Very cool! Can’t believe you shot these with your iPhone, or that you got a shot at the “bean” without a million other tourists.

If you want to have fun time on your wedding day, follow Lauren and Mills’ lead and you can’t go wrong. These two really know how to throw a party! And that’s exactly what they did in the most outrageous way at their fabulous reception at the Westin Poinsett.
But let’s start at the beginning.
Like how they met at a Clemson tailgate and Lauren told her friend that she had met the man she was going to marry. Mills was equally impressed.
Throw in some more football games, a dash of traveling all over the world, and just a pinch of beachside fun with friends, and you have the makings of an incredibly fun couple.
They started off with a very sweet ceremony held at the Charles E. Daniel Chapel at Furman University, and really cranked it up after their first dance. Enter in DJ Bryan Mahanes with his crazy crew and outrageous costumes.
Breakdancing. Need I say more?
Leave a comment for this super fun couple and help us wish them the best in their future.

Rain symbolizes blessings, cleansing, unity, and a new day.
So if that’s the case, the Paige and Austin started their marriage off on the perfect day! Even the rainy weather couldn’t stop these two from having the wedding of their dreams. Surrounded my family and friends, Paige and Austin were married at the beautiful First Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, SC and their sweet ceremony was followed by a Party (yes, with a capital “P”) at the always fabulous Piedmont Club.
After a lot of fun, a very tasty piece of cake and a sparkly send off, Paige and Austin bid farewell to single life and drove off into the night as Mr. & Mrs. Eckles. Be sure to leave a comment for the newlyweds and help us wish them all the best!

The bride was beautiful, and the day was perfect. Everything about the wedding and the events prior were phenomenal. It was the best and most elegant wedding I’ve ever attended. I’ve never see Paige so happy, and I’m so glad I was able to share her special day! Not only is a wonderful and loyal friend, but also she has the best taste from food to furniture to clothing to wedding planning.

The photos beautifully capture the wedding and reception. Both were wonderful. Paige had indeed paid attention to every detail. It was evident that “a good time was had by all.” The best part for me was the obvious happiness of the bride and groom. I’ve always been so proud that Paige is my niece. Now I’m proud that Austin is my nephew. I wish for them a lifetime of happiness together.
