Carlson and Kyle couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding day, and I don’t mean just the weather, which was great, but everything from the flowers to the dresses to the smiles on their faces was just perfect!
Kyle is a lawyer who would like to win the lottery so he can spend more time outdoors doing a little fly fishing, and Carlson is a Speech Language Pathologist. She told me once that she would love to be able to switch places for one day with her children at work who have autism. She said it would enable her to better understand them by seeing the world through their eyes. Just hearing that from her made me realize the kind of heart she has, and it’s no wonder Kyle thought that she was the perfect girl for him when they first met.
They are both members of First Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, so it was special for them to be married there, and they had such a lovely wedding. They wanted a nice, traditional wedding full of beauty and a ceremony that focused on their love and commitment to each other. They definitely accomplished that!
They followed their ceremony with a fabulous reception at the Piedmont Club which is conveniently located right next door to First Pres! Carlson and Kyle had a blast dancing the night away with their family and friends. The wedding party joined the band, The Mighty Kicks, on stage a few times and showed off some interesting mov… umm, some smooth, well… some moves.
Just kidding! I think everyone there could have danced the night away, but the happy couple did have a honeymoon to start. They were heading out to Napa Valley/Sonoma wine country in California for a relaxing and enriching experience. I’m sure after a few wine tastings, they were super relaxed!
Carlson and Kyle, I had a blast with you guys and wish you both all the best. Thanks so much for having me!
