Even though Stephanie was sick the entire week leading up to her wedding and on her wedding day, that didn’t stop her from having a smile on her face the whole day, and we think Wali had a little something to do with that!
When these two first met they knew they were a perfect fit for each other, and we love that Wali said he thought Stephanie was “too cool for school”. Ha! No wonder she though he was crazy… in a good way 🙂 .
Everyone’s wedding day is important, but for Stephanie and Wali, the date itself had a special meaning. They were married on Wali’s mother’s birthday which was their special way to honor her memory. It was an emotional day for Wali since neither his mom nor his dad are still with him, but he and Stephanie enjoyed remembering them and sharing their day with the friends and family still with them physically. And that included Wali’s adorable son, Elijah. Wali also celebrated with his new family by dancing a mother/son dance with Stephanie’s mom. There was not a dry eye in the house…including ours!
One beautiful detail from their wedding were all of their “green” touches. They hand made all of their programs as well as all of their table centerpieces. They reused old wine bottles and glass jars and added some handmade touches for a simple rustic feel. Everything about their wedding day was incredibly special and we couldn’t choose just a few images to share, so we decided to post their wedding day slideshow.
