Don’t you just love the excitement building up to your wedding day??? A few weeks before Cally married Dave and became Mrs. Banks, we met up with her to drop off her bridal portrait. She told us that she had been to so many of her friends’ weddings recently and she was just so excited for it to finally be her day! But she wasn’t just thinking of herself, no sir, no ma’am. Cally was so concerned that all of her friends and family have a fabulous time at their reception. We don’t think she needed to worry so much, they all had a blast! The proof is in the pictures below.
They were married at First Presbyterian Church in Orangeburg where Cally grew up and was baptized in. Then followed the gorgeous ceremony with their fun reception at the Orangeburg Country Club. When they arrived at the reception, they did something that we thought was incredibly sweet and important. Cally, Dave, and both sets of their parents met in a side room and ate their meal in private. Anyone who has been married knows that the bride and groom don’t typically get a chance to stop and eat. But not only that, think about how much actual time you get to spend with your parents on such a special day. They got to eat, laugh, share, and ultimately create 20 minutes of memories that they will keep with them forever.
One memory that Dave and his family were very excited to capture was his and Cally’s exit in his grandfather’s car. This car is very special not only because it belonged to his grandfather, but many of Dave’s relatives that have married over the years have had their send off in the same car. So we took some special time just for photos of them with the Thunderbird.
They left their reception with the big smiles they had on their faces all day, and we did too. Cally and Dave, we can’t thank you enough for allowing us to chance to work with you and your families. We wish you both all the best!
