Caroline and Jacob are two incredibly sincere, sweet, kind, and Christ centered people. They actually met through a church function at which Caroline was leading the worship services to the church Jacob attended. He was there early to help with the technical equipment and boldly asked her to join him at a Baptism and Barbecue after the service. She accepted and one week later, on their first “real” date, Jacob won her over by sweetly serenading an elderly lady in a guitar shop they happened to stop into. Something about the kindness and sincerity in the impromptu ditty “Miss Arnis from Taylors Stole My Heart” touched Caroline. Jacob’s confidence, outgoing personality, and generosity to do something so sweet for a woman he didn’t even know immediately alerted Caroline that this guy was someone special. Meanwhile, Jacob thought that Caroline was beautiful and quiet and that he talked way too much! I don’t think he had anything to worry about 🙂
Fast forward to their wedding day. Caroline and Jacob were married in the always beautiful Grace Church in downtown Greenville, SC. Grace Church holds a special place in their hearts as it was through the church that they were able to meet. They followed their sweet ceremony with a southern shabby-chic reception at The Loft at Falls Park, also in downtown Greenville. Caroline loves all things antique/vintage and since she and Jacob are both from South Carolina, they wanted to give a nod to the vintage southern feel by using cotton in their decor and serving traditional southern food. And Caroline will always have a bit of vintage to show off as Jacob got her a vintage 1930’s engagement ring…which was beautiful!
