Everyone wants to have the most important day of their life take pace somewhere special to them. What could be more special than the very place you played as a child? The place where you spent summers playing with sibling, getting dirty, and creating memories. How about your own back yard? Home.
Lyndsey and Jacob had known each other for a few years before they started dating. Jacob was actually good friends with Lyndsey’s sister and although they hung out on occasion, things didn’t really click for them until one Friday night baseball game. What is it about America’s greatest pastime that is so magical? (Field of Dreams anyone?)
Lyndsey and Jacob both played college ball and were enjoying this particular game together when they realized there was something between them that hadn’t been there before. And the rest, as they say, is history!
It was a rustic, picturesque family affair filled with touches of home like Lyndsey’s great-grandparents’ mailbox for guests to leave cards in and Mama Faye’s homemade pickles as wedding favors. They also made sure their younger guests were thoroughly entertained with a really fun looking kids area that included bubbles, coloring books and crayons, cracker jacks and a swing.
Overall, Lyndsey and Jacob put so much heart into creating a beautiful day not just for themselves but also for their friends and families to remember. Who knows what other memories will be made in that field over the years, but we’re sure they will all be special.
