As most of our past brides can tell you, we love it when our couples are emotional on their wedding day. So much joy, so many memories and feelings coming together on what is one of the most important days in your life, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t express it.
Meredith and Gary had no problem with this and we adore them for it! Charleston, SC saw many happy tears that day, and just a few few sad ones. There were tears of joy and a few “this is really it” tears as our beautiful bride saw herself in the mirror as she she put on her gown.
As little girl, Meredith had dreamed of getting married under the gazebo where she and Gary had their first look. So of course, meeting the love of her life on their big day in that spot was such a special moment for her. Gary didn’t disappoint either; he was just as moved as Meredith was. They took a walk along the Battery where Gary proposed and it was a bittersweet moment. He proposed with the help of their sweet dog, who carried the ring on his collar, but sadly was no longer with them.
We made our way to the always special South Carolina Aquarium for their wedding ceremony and reception. They were married overlooking the river with the Charleston bridge in the background and yes, even more tears were shed as they read their self written vows to one another. This time, family and friends shared in the joy with them.
Eventually though, everyone was just about cried out and ready for some fun! They had a beautiful wedding reception inside the aquarium where they celebrated their love and happiness with those most special to them.
It was truly a joy for us to have been a part of such a wonderful day, and we went through as many tissues as our happy couple did! Best wishes to you both, Meredith and Gary!
