We recently found ourselves back in beautiful Orangeburg, SC for another amazing wedding. Although this wasn’t the actual wedding day, it was certainly a wonderful celebration of a very sweet couple. Nora and Jalal were married in a private ceremony a few months prior to their reception, but this was the first day that Nora wore her beautiful lace gown. Jalal’s face just lit up when she came down the stairs and they enjoyed a few moments together to just take everything in.
They wanted to have some photos made at Buckridge Plantation to take advantage of the expansive lawns, still water pond and wood bridge. The day was beautiful and Nora and Jalal were ready to share their joy with family and friends! After some photos at Buckridge we headed over to the always-fabulous Orangeburg Country Club for their reception. The country club was beautifully decorated as usual, and the wedding guests were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the happy couple.
Nora and Jalal, unfortunately, didn’t have all of their families with them. Both of their families are from Syria and due to the conflict there, not all were able to come to the wedding celebration, but they were on everybody’s minds and hearts. In fact, Nora and Jalal made a donation in the name of their guests to all the children and orphans affected by the war in Syria. This was a touching gesture that moved everybody. And although there was a part of them far away with the families they couldn’t be with, they were able to thoroughly enjoy their day!
There was so much dancing, singing, and overall joy and we really enjoyed getting to be a part of it. Nora and Jalal are a special couple and we want to wish them and their families all the best.
