Greenville, SC Wedding Photographers | Katie & Andrew are Married! | A Wedding at The Westin Poinsett Hotel
We are excited to share the wedding of Katie and Andrew with you!
They were married at the well-known Greenville treasure, The Westin Poinsett, just a few days before Christmas. They were so excited to be able to get married in downtown Greenville during the holidays because of how beautiful the downtown area is at this time. And of course The Westin Poinsett didn’t disappoint with its grand trees so elegantly decorated and holiday touches all around. Greenville is where this couple were born and raised, where they met and began dating, so it was important for them to marry in a place close to their hearts.
It all began for them about 8 years ago when they met as sophomores in high school. They immediately clicked and a great friendship began and throughout the next year, they got to know each other even more before making things official. They stayed together through the rest of high school and college before finally saying “I Do” 7 years later in front of friends and family at their beautiful holiday wedding!
These two come from great close-knit families who were all on hand to help make their wedding as fabulous as possible. Katie’s nephew was the cutest little ring bearer who, after the wedding, put on a black Batman cape that said “Ring Security”. How adorable is that?
Since Katie and Andrew have been together for so long, they have kept in touch with old friends, made new friends over the years, and it seemed like they all made it a point to come out for these guys. They were surrounded by a ton of friends, which really speaks to the kind of people Katie and Andrew are. And who better to entertain this bunch than one of our favorite bands, Intensity! They really kept the crowd going while the happy couple made some lasting memories. Katie and Andrew made their grand exit to sparklers and left on a horse drawn carriage for an evening tour of the city as husband and wife.
Today Katie and Andrew are both CPAs and enjoy doing most everything together, but we’re pretty certain you can find them at a tailgate with good food and good friends most Saturdays during football season. They have big plans for the future and we’re certain that future includes lots of love, joy and football :).
