We were so excited to have the chance to work with Caitlin and Ted! Not only are they both incredibly sweet people but they wanted to be able to have a small, intimate family wedding where everyone could relax and enjoy their time together. Where better to do that than on St. Martin?
So that’s what they did, they rented a beautiful home on St. Martin that they shared with family and were married on 2/14/14 which also happened to be Valentine’s Day. The date went along nicely with their engagement date of 1/13/13 ☺ And it was so wonderful to be a part of their special day. Both of their families were kind and compassionate; they were always aware of others and making sure everyone had everything they needed and that they were having a great time.
The entire day was very laid back and we certainly enjoyed having so much time to spend on photos! Who wouldn’t be inspired by such a gorgeous setting? The entire day was full of laughter and tears, shared memories of love, and bright hopes for the future. Both Caitlin and Ted have made an incredible impact on their loved ones with the example of the love they share.
And at the end of the night Caitlin, Ted and their families gathered outside for a superb ending to the evening. Since sky lanterns weren’t permitted due to their fire hazard, everyone released balloons into the night sky. What’s cool is the balloons were lit by an internal LED light so you could still see them as they drifted away. And of course, what better way to end a wedding in St. Martin that with a dip in the pool. In your wedding gown.
Que votre avenir plein d’amour et de joie!
