If there’s a place that we always love to shoot, it’s Highlands. We were so excited to go back there to shoot the charming duo Leland Strang and Charlie Wheland. Between the classic ceremony and the wild reception, Charlie and Leland’s wedding had something for everyone.
Leland and Charlie’s shoot was at the Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina. The couple is originally from Tennessee, but they decided to have a destination wedding with friends and family. The entire weekend was filled with fun, festivities, and, of course, love!
One of our favorite details was the flowers. The bouquet and floral arrangements for the ceremony were from Oakleaf in Highlands. The floral arrangements were reminiscent of wild mountain flowers. They were absolutely stunning and very appropriate for the location!
Leland, Charlie, and their wedding planner Julie Sylvester at Pinnacle Events really outdid themselves with their unforgettable reception. Beyond simply the decorations, there were so many unique touches that left us awestruck, such as the painter. Charlie and Leland hired a painter to capture the beauty of their reception venue so that they could hang the painting in their home. Even as photographers, we think this is such a classy way to capture a memory!
