Being a husband and wife photography team is special for Craig and I. Getting to attend weddings every day, and capture those moments for our couples is a gift to our own marriage. These special moments, we are able to document in an artistic way.
In this image, the newly married couple is dancing their first dance at their wedding reception. Once we are able to capture the standard images of a first dance, we love to experiment and get creative. Craig left the area around the dance floor and crouched behind a table where guests were seated. In the center of the table was a group of candles and vases, and when positioned in the foreground of the image, they create a beautiful bokeh of twinkling lights. In the far background, the off-camera flash fires to light the couple and create a rim of light separating them from the background.
Aside from the technical aspects of this image, I love the passion the bride has as she grabs the back of the groom's head and pulls him in for a kiss. And how about the back of that dress...AMAZING!!!
