Brookgreen gardens is quite a special place, aside from weddings. And for engaged couples it is a dream location for a wedding. The gardens are incredibly stunning, the grounds with three hundred year old oak trees in the Live Oak Allee are a stunning backdrop for a wedding ceremony. Located near Murrells Inlet, SC, the 9100 acre gardens are a sight to behold.
Although we are wedding photographers in Greenville SC, we often travel to the Lowcountry for weddings. Fran, the bride, is from Greenville SC and that is how she found us. We were ecstatic to be chosen as her wedding photographer for her ceremony in the Live Oak Allee at Brookgreen Gardens. It was our second wedding in that location and we knew the amazing photographs we would be able to capture.
In this image, Fran and David are grasping tightly to each other’s hands as the minister donned in a white robe leads them through their vows. The bridesmaids are in pale mint green floor length gowns and the groomsmen are wearing black suites. And an adorable group of flower girls in white dresses are watching attentively and hanging on every word. Giant 300 year old live oak tree branches dripping with Spanish Moss frame the top of the image, and large black urns overflowing with white roses and hydrangeas flank the bride and groom. Fran’s wedding gown was a strapless Amsale ballgown with hand pleated silk taffeta on the dropped waist, and stunning flowers made from silk fabric on the skirt.
